For those who don’t know, the video game Shadow the Hedgehog (spin-off of the Sonic the Hedgehog series starring the rival antihero character Shadow the Hedgehog, big surprise there) featured a branching storypath. You could do evil or heroic missions, usually helping the main villain Black Doom or assisting a friendly Sonic character from the series, or sometimes you can just ignore both paths, and the story and level you go to change depending on the mission you go to. This means you could do some evil stuff but then change to hero and end up in a level you’d have been to if you did mostly hero stuff.
This also means the story is usually disjointed and doesn’t follow very well.
Sega also gave a name to every storyline you can do, 326 in all. Because of the weirdness of some of these paths, I wrote a summary in dialogue form. Here’s storyline #157, Diabolical Power:
Black Doom: SHADOW KILL THOSE SOLDIERS
Shadow: lol nope
Black Doom: WHAT, FINE, THEN GO ACTIVATE OUR RUINS
Shadow: lol nope
Black Doom: RGHA;R FINE GO DESTROY THESE OTHER SOLDIERS
Shadow: lol nope
Black Doom: OH YEAH WELL GUESS WHAT WE DON’T NEED YOU ANYWAY WE GOT OUR RUINS FLOATING, SO GO BLOW UP THAT DOCTOR GUY
Shadow: Oh okay actually I will go blow him up, he’s annoying.
Black Doom: YESSS, GOOD, NOW DESTROY THE PRESIDENT’S PLANE
Shadow: lol nope
Black Doom: THAT’S IT YOU’RE COMING HOME AND DESTROYING THESE SOLDIERBOTS IN OUR BLACK COMET
Shadow: oh. okay. that’s fair.
Sonic: I can’t let you do this, Shadow!
Shadow: nope i work for black doom now
Black Doom: YES BUT YOU’RE A TERRIBLE EMPLOYEE SO YOU’RE DEMOTED TO JANITOR
And here is Shadow the Hedgehog storyline #73, An Eternal Rival…
Black Doom: SHADOW, KILL THESE SOLDIERS
Black Doom: NOW SHADOW, DESTROY THESE INTERNETS
Rouge: Hi Shadow
Shadow: actually i’m gonna help the hot girl
Black Doom: WHAT. WELL AT LEAST DESTROY MORE SOLDIERS.
Shadow: nah i’m turning over a new leaf.
Charmy: Hey Shadow!! Wanna help me!!
Shadow: no you’re not a hot girl
Dr. Eggman: What about me?
Shadow: you’re cool so okay
Black Doom: YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING FOR ME.
Sonic: Hey Shadow!
Shadow: oh my god go away sonic, black doom if i blow up some defense systems for you will you make sonic go away
Black Doom: YES. WHATEVER. DO AS I SAY.
Shadow: okay but after this i’m going to ignore you entirely and deal with my angst by killing dr. eggman
Dr. Eggman: What was that?
Shadow: i mean activating his volcano defenses
Dr. Eggman: Oh, splendid!
Shadow: haha jk i’ma kill you *karate chop*
Dr. Eggman: nooo
Anyway. I kind of want to do a whole series of this. Maybe not for all 326 though.

Chapter 2: No Stranger Stranger is available to read now. In it we get to meet the next main character of Wandering Fortunes, Alden, and then, later, Top sings. Between that I would say it’s a good chapter.
Don’t forget, those who give to the CCC Patreon have the chance to read these chapters half a month early. Chapter 3 in just a couple weeks. And a reminder, all money from the CCC this month goes to charity to help keep the country from drowning, and that includes from Patreon.
And no, still no cover. It’s being worked on.

Wandering Fortunes Intro
Chapter 1: Guardian of Goofiness
The first chapter of the Wandering Fortunes is finally here, in the year of 2017! After a brief introduction by Duth and Wally, we get in the head of someone in the process of being created. This someone is Top. Top is crazy. Top for best character 2017. Unfortunately, those what created Top don’t think so.
I first started writing Slubes at the beginning of 2010. Seven years later the first new setting and group of characters of the Cloudy Cuckoo Cosmos since the beginning starts. I hope you enjoy Wandering Fortunes enough to make the next 3 1/2 years feel like just 2. (Which could totally be done if I reached the Patreon goal where I began to post 2 chapters a month.)
The cover for Wandering Fortunes is, well, not done yet. But it’s close! The artist is working on it, and it should be completed before the second chapter in February.
As for 2016, it was a weird year. A lot of people thought it was terrible. I’m not sure it was any worse than previous years aside from the election, which was kind of worse than past elections. But I actually had a surprisingly good year, with Slubes finally refinished and lots of work on Darmenzi done, along with the prog version being fully posted online. I also started a weird Pokemon comic because I have no time for real work.
Now we have 2017. I hope to finish Darmenzi and release the final version, and I hope to get more work done on Wandering Fortunes. I’m sure you’ll all love it. Have fun with Top’s oddball antics!

It’s finally here. We’re finally here. The final chapter of Darmenzi, Chapter 20: Fallen Oblivion is here! It all concludes with a bang, a smash, and a reveal. Will everyone survive? Will everyone live? Will I let this stand??
The conclusion ends with a brief discussion on the next book, Wandering Fortunes. More on that when I have time. For now, enjoy the conclusion to this story running for 1 2/3 years, the second (and first real) story I wrote for NaNoWriMo, which… begins today. Coincidence? Yes. I’m too busy to do anything for it, though.

Here‘s chapter 14 of Darmenzi, which brings us to an area first shown in Slubes but never actually traveled to. It also features bush animals and a puzzle.
In related news, I finished the main editing of the last chapter of Darmenzi yesterday, so now it’s time to go back and do wider edits such as tightening the character arcs and insert other words here that makes it sound like I know what I’m doing. I hope to have that done by mid-June if not end-May.
As always there is my Patreon, where patrons can read these chapters early and get expectations!! Are they great expectations? Well, they’re not bad.

Oh, um, er, eh, April Fool’s! Yes, it was totally intentional that I didn’t post the new chapter yesterday. ha ha ha ha hahahahahaHAHAHAHAHA HA HA HA HA HA. HA. HA. HA. HA.
So here’s chapter 13 of Darmenzi, Aquasphere. It features water and a brief discussion of anime and was rather significantly edited a few years ago after I played the demo of a little game called Undertale, maybe you’ve heard of it.
I’ve had about 5 hours of sleep now so I need a nap. Mention of Patreon, which I think I just discovered every post I’ve made announcing new chapters up have only been available to patrons?? I like don’t even know. I’m confused now. Gee, what else is new?

Once upon a time, over six years ago, I started working on an actual novel. A lot of off-and-on work later and the final result is finally final! Slubes is here, for reals this time!
The ebook is available at Smashwords here for $1, and the physical book is available on Amazon here for $12. There is also a free preview on Smashwords, should be one coming up on Amazon soon, and I’ll also put up a preview on this website here. In fact, after I type up this blog post I’m going to go through this website and update a lot of pages. Should be fun!
I fully believe this book is better in every aspect from the old one, which I suppose is a good thing because anything less would be kind of stupid. It’s bigger, more detailed, stronger, and the author intrusions are more obvious now yaaaay!
I’m sitting here thinking of what else to say, but all I can think is that I hope you (the internet) check out the first writing of mine ever on the internet to be finished, refinished, refurbished, reapplied, refibrillated, refinished again, completely finished, recompleted, and made into a readable format! And then I hope, if you do check it out, that you also like it.
Like and subscribe! Review it, let me know its strengths and weaknesses, help make the sequel even better (of course, half of that is on this website, but not as finished as Slubes now is).
Oh, and I may have Kindle version of Slubes available later this month. That’s all for now.

The Slubes re-release comes out in just four days, so here’s one final excerpt from it featuring everyone’s favorite angry, edgy buzz saw whose name starts with S and has at least one letter in it that is more than two syllables, Sawn.
